Assessment

Examinations &
Evaluation Policy

Examinations at LIMRA are designed to assess progress, motivate growth, and identify areas for support — not to create pressure. Our three-terminal system provides regular checkpoints throughout the year.

📅

First Terminal — September

Covers the first term curriculum. Results shared on Open Day. Identifies students needing additional guidance.

📅

Second Terminal — December

Half-yearly assessment. Marks contribute to the annual progress report and promotion consideration.

📅

Final Examination — April

Determines promotion to the next grade. Results considered in totality with all terminal marks.

💻

Computer Science — Compulsory

A compulsory subject for promotion. All students from Grade 1 attend regular computer classes in our fully equipped lab.

🏆

Honour Roll Recognition

Students who pass in General Knowledge and Score I to V qualify for the prestigious Honour Roll — recognising academic excellence.

⚠️

Absence from Examinations

Pupils absent without valid reason will be re-examined. Missing final exams without medical documentation may affect promotion.

📈

Continuous Monitoring

Teachers continuously assess through participation, assignments, and homework — no child falls behind without timely intervention.

Attendance Policy

Attendance — Foundation
of Consistent Learning

Attendance is Compulsory

Compulsory on the re-opening and closing day of each term. Regular attendance throughout the term is strongly expected of all students.

📋

Absence Procedure

After any absence, the pupil must bring a leave letter signed by the parent stating the reason and dates missed. Handed to the class teacher on return.

🏥

Medical Absence

Absence exceeding four consecutive working days requires a valid medical certificate from a registered medical practitioner submitted to school.

🚪

Leave from Premises

No pupil may leave school premises during hours without prior permission of the Principal. Parents must obtain formal approval in advance.

📞

Parent Communication

The school's permission must be obtained for any planned absence. Parents are encouraged to communicate proactively at all times.

📊

Impact on Promotion

Attendance records are considered during promotion decisions. Consistent attendance ensures students fully benefit from instruction and examinations.
